The Rex Hotel and Blues Bar is a one of a kind experience. It is a staple establishment that has presented itself to the public that music must be catered to audiences worldwide and beyond. Located right in the heart of downtown Toronto, on Queen Street, right in the center of coffee shops, tattoo parlours, shops, and restaurants, the Rex Hotel and Blues Bar is an experience not to be missed. On Mondays and Wednesdays, the Rex Hotel and Blues Bar hosts local talent that come and bring along their local flavor of music in the Jazz or Blues genre. If you are into drums, base, guitar, flutes, violin, piano, and trumpet, this is your kind of scene. The menu at the Rex Hotel Blues Bar is well established with a menu ranging from burgers , to salads, to steaks to chicken tacos. The drink menu on the other hand has an assortment of beer (local) , wine , spirits, and cocktails. I would have to say I will definitely be back at The Red Hotel Jazz and Blues Bar as it was an inviting experience, the staff are very well trained and assist you in any way shape or form. If you don't mind paying a cover charge, which covers the costs of a show, then the Rex is the perfect place to catch entertainment when you are in the area.

This place is as good as it gets. If you wanna listen to some incredible jazz acts in a relaxed space, you can't beat The Rex. Always awesome acts playing and great staff who are always keeping your drinks fresh through the whole show.

I stayed one night recently. The Rex was awesome in every way. Extremely clean, friendly and willing to please. Room was small but it cost one third of next cheapest hotel in area. Parking next door was only $25 for 24 hours so we parked it and enjoyed the great neighborhood. Food and jazz band was great part of trip! Mike was helpful on desk..all aspects were great beyond expectations!!
