Tapas At Embrujo - Toronto

I celebrated my bday this year, a second celebration at this amazing resto. Me and my closest friends had an incredible time here on November The service was fantastic, the flamenco show was so great, the food was delicious and the...athmosphere was friendly, intimate and it was probably one of my best bday celebrations ever. Thank you to the great staff and to Jose who made my bday feel very special.

We had dinner as a couple, and ate inside for the A/C. On arrival shortly after we were the only table inside; there were several other tables by the time we left, but the (single) server was prompt and provided excellent service. We sampled...six tapas plates leisurely over minutes, and loved all of them. The Serrano ham and manchego cheese platter was good, but the hot plates exceeded it. Each plate was enough for two to share, and our favourites were the mushrooms and the garlic shrimp ! The red wine sangria was very pleasantly (and not overly) sweet. We are looking forward to another visit to try the other half of the menu!

I ordered Paella Valenciana for take-out. I was disappointed. It was very tomatoey, like an Italian style. I did not taste any saffron. It did not smell like any paella that I had previously. However, it was edible and the portion was good. If you...like a traditional style Paella Valenciana, I do not recommend this version.

I travelled to Spain last year and really enjoyed the tapas scene. With no travel allowed this year, I wanted to find something as close to that experience as possible. This place fit the bill and was completely delicious. I will definitely be going back.

My boyfriend and I came to try as much tapas as we possibly could and the value was surreal. Each plate has more than enough for two to taste (you could easily share each dish with three or four people) and is very reasonably priced...given the quality of the ingredients that is used. We stuffed our faces with all manner of deliciousness and enjoyed what is probably the best sangria I've ever had (not too sweet, with a delicious spice to it) and a bottle of spanish wine. We had a fantastic evening full of amazing food and I'm planning a return visit as soon as possible to try everything else on the menu. Not a single dish was disappointing every dish was worth ordering again (I dream about some of them). We capped the night off with some magnificent sherry and it was the perfect end to a perfect evening. This place is perfect for a date night, a group meal, or a place to grab a bottle of wine and a few snacks with some friends. I've been meaning to try this place for a long time, and now that I've finally gone, I can see myself becoming a regular there.
