Gem City Pizza - Toronto

Visited a Gem City Pizza a few years ago in Myrtle Beach, SC. loved it and visited several times during the holiday. Knowing that the owners of Toronto were OH. When I came to Toronto and saw the sign, I had to stop. Fantastic experience as I remember. Some of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. — sweet and spicy tray was incredible. Come back when I'm in the area.

A few years ago, this place had the best pizza in Toronto or somewhere else nearby. But after I changed the owners a few times, I think it went downhill and was not very good so I stop buying my pizza there. After reading some re ent Facebook posts with people who claim that Gem City Pizza is back, I gave them an attempt tonight. Are they back? My pizza was decent, but not with the way it used to be when it was fantastic. Hopefully they will improve it further. Mine would have been great if it woke more sauce. I would definitely recommend giving them an attempt!

Pizza was crisp and delish... but I think there must be a shortage of cheese in the store

(Guy running the cash register had no clue about prices and couldnt read the register to give me the correct change. He then went from handling the money to making dough without washing his hands. Then another employee can in and started cooking without washing his hands. Pizza took over 20 minutes for 6 pieces and was just terrible. I was then hasseled by another employee on whether i paid or not and the employee who took my money couldnt seem to remember. I will never even think about this joint again. Frozen pizza is a better option than this place) In response to this review...I am the owner and my wife and I are actively in the shop every day of the week. My employees would never touch money and then food without washing their hands first. I am very strict about this. Most of our employees are familiar with the prices and we are training new employees as well. My employees would not hassle a customer about payment either. We are working hard to please our customers and encourage feedback that we address personally.
