Authentic local restaurant with good local food but the service and attitude of waitstaff let it down. I don’t think they deal with tourists well and find it frustrating. We went on a Friday night and the place was packed. From the onset the service was neither friendly or considered. They didn’t have enough menus to go around let alone help with some food advice. The food was ok, but the attitude of the waitstaff made it one of our least favourite outings in Italy. Really just wanted to get us fed and out of there. Pretty disappointing. I can only assume they were prioritising the large party of locals they had in for the night…
Excellent piedmont regional food. On a lovely square, outdoor and indoor seating. Good service. I had the mixed appetizers and then ravioli beef pasta, followed by their beef w potatoes. My companion had a different cut of beef, very raw with a slight sear. The pasta was amazing. One of the appetizers, a pepper with a paste of sardines over it was tremendous. Good wine, I tried a few different local wines.
