Jade Garden - Torfaen

After not visiting The Jade Garden in Cwmbran for a few years, we were extremely disappointed with our experience. The Chinese takeout meal we received was one of the worst we've had in a long time. Even the chips were dry and cold, just 15 minutes after the restaurant had opened. We won't be returning anytime soon.

I'm not sure who is in charge of this restaurant, but they are definitely not Chinese. When you walk in, you see a group of British people running around. It doesn't give off the vibe of serving Chinese food at all. Now onto the food. The chips were pale and small, probably the smallest portion I've ever seen, it seemed like they were rushed out. The portion of chicken balls was also tiny and the batter was soggy and cold. The curry sauce was flavorless and the food arrived cold. The portions were small and the prices were quite high. I will not be eating here again.

The service at Jade Garden Chinese Takeaway was absolutely terrible this evening. I will never order from them again! They told us our order would be ready in 45 minutes, but after waiting for 1 hour and 15 minutes, I called to ask how much longer it would be. I was then told that they had tried to contact me multiple times and that they had come to my door twice without anyone answering. I challenged this, as I had not received any missed calls and had been home the whole time. The manager then began shouting and swearing at me over the phone, calling me a liar. If a Chinese delivery had actually been at my door, I would have answered it. Unbelievable!

After giving an honest review,on my last and final time this business, the owner stated that was the final time he was going to serve me,i take it he read my review,and didnt like the truth,i would give this place a wide berth

Normally first class food but this time not good, king prawns were squishy,told owner but he says thats all he can get at present,supplier issues,well change suppliers and pay a little bit more
