The Golden Fish - Torbay

Today, we visited this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. There were four of us, and we all enjoyed our meal, especially the fish and chips which were amazing! The service was friendly and added to the positive experience of our visit. Before reading any negative reviews about prices, it's important to consider the rising inflation and the fact that everyone is just trying to make a living.

We often visit this place for their excellent fish and chips when we are in Brixham. The price is very reasonable compared to other places nearby. For £6.95, we got a delicious meal with fish and chips, some bread and butter, and tea or coffee. The quality and value are outstanding, especially when other places charge £13 for a similar meal. We always come back to this restaurant for lunch when we are in Brixham because we know we can rely on them for a great meal.

The other day, I had some delicious fish and chips. I was originally going to go to a restaurant on the corner, but when I arrived, the waiter had left the tank door open and put up a closed sign on one of the stands. Confused about whether they were open or closed, I asked a staff member who pointed out that the sign was supposed to be flipped to indicate their status. So, I decided to walk around the corner to Golden Fish where I enjoyed sitting and being served some excellent fish and chips with a generous portion of tartar sauce.

First visit. good eating friendly staff. deffo is worth trying.

We visited Brixham today and found the majority of restaurants/ pups stop serving food at 3pm, until we found the Golden Fish who were open. To the back of the shop there is plenty of seated tables, all spotlessly clean. Our meal was excellent value and piping hot, well worth the money including apple pie and ice cream as a lovely sweet.The owners and staff were very friendly. If your looking for a good quality meal that doesn’t brake the bank then the Golden Fish is for you.
