The Fish Store and Oyster Bar - Tofino

We ordered a dozen of local oysters and they were so fresh I'm salivating just thinking about them. Also if you ask for hot sauce they'll send you a variety of them which I thought was nice.

Located near Tofino’s docks, this establishment owns sole distribution rights to Clayoquot Sound oysters and supplies all the other local restaurants. This arrangement guarantees fresh oysters in all of Tofino’s restaurants, but none are fresher than at The Fish Store where they can be eaten only ten minutes distance by boat from their long line deep water fisheries. Whether you eat it there or take it away, the seafood at The Fish Store and Oyster Bar is exemplary in a town where local, fresh, and sustainable maritime sustenance is de rigueur.

Fish was very good, melt in your mouth, the 4 stars is due to limited selection and top shelf prices. We did enjoy the fish that was recommended to us by the helpful clerk. Thanks.

The food at this restaurant was incredible. I highly recommend the mussels in white wine sauce - they were my favorite. My wife tried the oysters and said they were the best she's ever had. The staff were wonderful and we enjoyed a few local pints along with our delicious seafood on a sunny day. It was a truly fantastic experience.

The staff was incredible and very engaging, although I regret not catching the name of one of them. The restaurant has a cool atmosphere and serves fantastic, fresh oysters. The mignonette sauce was fresh and flavorful without being overpowering. Definitely worth a visit!
