Bude 8 - Timmendorfer Strand

This place is now called "Bude 8".It's just a little bistro-type shack by the beach, next to the Niendorf Harbour. Operated by a chef who used to run high-end restaurants, you can tell the difference big time. While all the other beach shacks in the area tend to offer the same low quality food (French fries, fish sandwiches) this place offers really good restaurant quality food, nicely decorated, at very reasonable prices. It's self-service, and during high season there may be quite a long wait. But it's so worth it. Once we discovered it, kept coming back on a daily basis. The deep fried cod was cooked to perfection, daily specials included an excellent burrata salad, baked salmon sashimi etc. - all very nice. Of course they also serve the classics, such as currywurst, fish sandwiches etc., all prepared very carefully and with a nice quality twist. Big time recommendation in Timmendorfer Stand/Niendorf.
