Restaurant Casa del Sole - Timişoara

I went with my brother to get lunch here, the place looks pretty nice and also has a lovely garden. Service was slow, we spend more than two hours here so I don't recommend it unless you have enough time to spend. I had the...Boeuf Bourguignon (46 lei) but it wasn't what I expected, it was very different from what I ate in Paris. There was almost no sauce, I guess the pasta absorbed it but even so, the pasta had no taste so I would say it's not a very good combination. Too bad as the meat was pretty good, properly cooked and pretty soft and easy to eat but the plate had almost no vegetables, only few pieces of carrots. I tasted also the Duck breast with camembert (65 lei) and Potatoes with lart rate (12 lei) and it was not bad, but maybe a bit expensive tho, some sauce also might have improved the dish. The potatoes didn't had much taste but the duck was properly cooked except for the skin which was kind of hard to eat. The meat went very well with the camembert. We tried the Apple crumble (21 lei) for dessert and it was pretty interesting but it had too litle crumble, I would have added more, found it also a bit too expensive from what you get, was an interesting idea though but could be improved a bit. Overall, not a bad place, my rating 3.2 5 stars.

Been there a couple of times, for lunch, and every time i had a suprisingly good food. It was tasty, good value for money and the waiters were very helpful and kind. The menu has pictures and the food looks exactly like in the pictures...and tastes even better. Not so many restaurants like this in timisoara! Try it! You will not regret!

The food was amazing and the staff very friendly! The place is wonderful, perfect for a cosy or a romantic dinner.

Ordered pizza from this place. After one and a half hours the wrong pizza was delivered and was cold as ice. Besides these, the taste was awful. Stay away!
