Chalet Bouvier Tignes

We went to this restaurant for raclette. The restaurant is very beautiful. There is a fireplace which makes you feel at home and smells so good. The waiter really made us feel welcome and helped us pick a wine to complement the raclette and it was perfect. Great experience.

My son who was my dinner companion asked me to stress that the faults we felt about the service in the Chalet Bouvier may have been accidental and may not represent a true picture - so here I do. We reerved for 2130 and table was not ready yet, forgivable. We shared the waiting lounge with another couple in the same condition -table not ready on time - and eith a very cute golden retriever, see picture. While waiting, we were offered and served sample portions of pumpkin soup, very good. As ee were finally seated I ordered started and main and companion main only. The two main courses were served 10 or 12 minutes apart, which was a bit annoying. Same happened with dessert. A glass of wine I ordered was forgotten and served only after a reminder, which is not acceptable. The sloppy service was really in contrast to the quality of the food, which was superb, the best sol mounier I ever tasted. Lovely styled spzce with charming ambience, would surely come back, pls do something about the service..

Go for the Duck Foie Gras as a starter to share for up to 4 pax...and the for the Cheese Fondue...Delicious

Food was excellent, but service was poor throughout and looking around the restaurant other tables were similarly frustrated. Open plan kitchen showcases the amazing food being prepared, but also the lack of teamwork between chefs and waiters who glared at each other all night.

Very pleasant restaurant, conveniently located right around Val Claret center. Walking distance from most hotels in the village. Very nice atmosphere and great decor. Food is mostly delicious. As a starter, we had the tuna tartar ( terrible),fois gras (great) and beaufort cheese pie (yummy). Entrees are enormous, even the ones that are supposed to be shared by 2, like raclette and fondue can be enough for 4. Tartiflette was not the best, just ok. Raclette and the fondue are the best choices. And 1 each, plus 2 starters would be enough for 5 people. Prices are reasonable for the area. Deserts are amazing.
