Bidrage med feedbackWhen your partner who eats both meat and vegetables wants to go back to a restaurant, you know it's a winner! I ordered delivery from this place a while ago and loved the pulled pork.
I returned to the restaurant and tried the Japanese curry bowl, but I would not recommend it.
I really like this charming little Vegan Restaurant. I hope to see more Vegan Restaurants like it in the future.
A lot of Thunder Bay friends told me to visit Man vs. Meat, a little restaurant in an older building probably an old corner store. The front is painted red, you can’t miss it. Entering the young gentleman answered all my questions about their different types of food and what was on it. I opted for a Philly cheese Steak which had shaved beef (more like big chunks than shaved) fried onions, red peppers, mushrooms and I asked for a double serving of Provolone cheese. I ordered a small for $8 for my dad and ordered a large for $13 for myself. The extra cheese was an extra $1.50.The restaurant is take out only, and there were benches on both sides of the restaurant. There was a picnic table outside and people eating as I pulled up. After I placed my order, I sat and waited there and watched a steady progression of customers coming and ordering or picking up a phoned in order. Seems like phone in orders were very popular. While I waited there was a second menu for a Restaurant called Fire and Spice. The gentleman behind the counter explained it was the owner’s new restaurant; they were opening up on Arthur Street. It had a different menu for now, but was planning on introducing the Man vs. Meat menu there soon.I noticed the 2016 Certificate of Excellence Trip Advisor flag hanging prominently in the corner. Obviously other customers before me found this place was an excellent place to eat as well. The Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches were excellent! They were huge and stuffed full. Good value for your money and the locals think so too!If you are on a budget and visiting Thunder Bay, this is a great place to come. Eat local and support small businesses like this one. The only thing I could say to the business, I’m a North side girl (Port Arthur) and there isn’t a location there, please open one on my side of the city.
Very fast service, even if you are a walk-up. Don't expect to dine in, cuz they are all about the food.
