Bidrage med feedbackThe new owners have refreshed the place. The staff ( many who have worked here for 20 years) are rejuvenated and the steaks and burgers are much better. Nice place, good meat and tasty deserts. A nice evening out!
Went here based on a recommendation of the hotel owner in Geneva and was definitely not disappointed.The restaurant is pretty big with several areas which does not make it look big. It has an open kitchen close to the entrance so you straight away get a good impression of a clean kitchen.The menu looks nice and interesting however I chose a burger as it was already a bit late and did not feel like eating a lot of meat. My burger was very well prepared, precisely as ordered (medium). The bread was a bit roasted and the sauce was very nice.The service as nice and friendly.Definitely a place I will visit again during my travels to Geneva as the menu has some interesting meat dishes that I would like to try.
The food was good, the service fine and the place comfortable ..... but even if none of these things were true the fact that this is about the only restaurant in the neighbourhood which serves food on Sundays makes it a must!
We were on the lookout for a great steak and we're too tired to go too far from home. Having walked passed this place a million times we thought we should try it. The food was excellent, no fuss straight classic fare from a geneva institution. The restaurant has booth seating which I can imagine was once a burgundy velour but has since been remodeled - what a shame! We ordered chateaubriand which at chf 98 for two was a pretty standard to low price for Geneva. It was delicious, perfectly cooked and on this quiet holiday evening, it was clear the chef was happy to cook this classic piece instead of the ever popular hamburger. The waiter made very helpful wine suggestions which oddly were only available by the glass. We also had an excellent seasonal asparagus starter and coffee and free liqueur to finish. Chf 146 for two - well fed we were very happy with this classic restaurant.
We were looking for a place that served steak late in the night (10PM), the sun had just come down and we were hungry. We found this place in google and went there. The staff were very courteous and respectful. We ordered the 4 week stale Tenderloin (might have mixed up the order of the words) medium rare and it was excellent, had a side dish of fries and veggies and it was all i needed to fill me up for the night. I would have given this review 5 stars had the food preparation not take so long.
