Bidrage med feedbackCafé Contemporain is hard to find. It is located on the ground floor of a large residential complex in the middle of Chene-Bougeries, near the Cologny Tennis Club. It is small and often quite packed, but never overflow. In summer there is a beautiful terrace. The food is very good, with a variety of dishes of the day. Most menu items are traditional French cuisine, but sometimes again in a contemporary way. But the portions are always very generous. If you are in them and want to try something new, this is a nice place to go.
Beautiful interior and friendly staff. However, the menu is elevated compared to the offered portions. A Pato Frito starter (Thai, but the same as you can buy at the supermarket) came at 17 chf, but consisted of a mini spring roll, a single fried yarn and a small brochette with salad. Main course for me was a very chewing entrecote served on a slate with the idea that you cook it as you want. In reality, it is an anger to cut and cook on the same plate. Os a moelle was only one bone in two cut for 12 chf, a cote de boeuf (which was good) came at 55chf for two. But again, parts were underwhelming. Our party is hungry. Average.
Friendly staff and beautiful interior, but a real demolition. I had pato frito for beginners who was a mini spring roll, a fried yarn and a brochette for 17chf! By far the smallest part I've ever seen and it was just the stuff you can buy in the frozen food department. The main course of the Entrecote was again underwhelming chewing piece of meat. Cote de boeuf for dinner partner was good, but again expensive. I know restaurants are not cheap in Geneva, but there are far more that give at least decent portions. I was still hungry when we were gone.
This is a local restaurant outside the city center of Geneva, in an apartment complex. However, the interior is very stylish and was apparently designed on some restaurants in New York. The owner is the waiter night and day and service is friendly and efficient. Food is very good, prices are reasonable (according to Swiss standards), and the menu often changes.
