Bidrage med feedbackThe fried shrimp, both regular and popcorn varieties, were absolutely delicious. The potato salad was very good as well. The gumbo was tasty, though it had a slightly sharp flavor that wasn't quite to my liking. I wasn't a fan of the shrimp dish, as it reminded me more of tomato sauce with shrimp rather than a distinct flavor. My husband ordered the broiled fish on angel hair pasta with a cream sauce that included shrimp and breadcrumbs, and he thoroughly enjoyed it—he cleaned his plate! While the meal was on the pricier side, the generous portion sizes and high-quality food made it worth the cost. I should also mention that the Caesar dressing served with my salad was unlike any Caesar dressing I've ever had. It tasted good, but it certainly wasn’t what I was expecting. The sweet tea was delicious—perfectly sweet!
The waitress was very friendly, and the restrooms were clean, making for a pleasant experience overall. The gumbo was fantastic—just like Grandma used to make! We also tried the fried shrimp and catfish, both of which were delicious. And the sweet potatoes? They were absolutely amazing!
The fish in the delightful dish was clearly fresh and cooked in clean oil. The seafood gumbo was also delectable, with just the right level of seasoning. However, the windows near our table were quite dirty. I'm thankful I didn't use the restroom before my meal, as the area behind the seat looked unkempt. It seemed like the restroom hadn’t been properly maintained for some time.
I dined there in 1999 and had the bacon-wrapped shrimp! It was fantastic!
