Schilleci's New Orleans Kitchen

My wife, 3 year old and I stopped in here for lunch to try a new place. We were blown away by the food, the nice and informative waiter and the head chef. Both were nice and the chef told us a little bit of the history of the restaurant. The staff were nice and treated us nicely. The food was so delicious and flavorful that this would become a staple in the rotation of our go to places. The only SLIGHT downside was that the red beans and rice were a tad on the spicy side for us. My girlfriend made reservations for us here on my birthday, and she could not have picked a better spot. It is a small, cozy restaurant lit perfectly and with appealing decor. We were blessed with the Crawfish Mac Cheese Eggrolls which were served with an apricot chutney. This starter was crafted in the mind of a genius. Perfect flavor and the unlikely chutney complimented the dish so well. I had the duck sausage gumbo which was perfectly seasoned, no salt or pepper necessary. My main course was the Stuffed Flounder with Jambalaya which was a phenomenal dish with so many rich and full flavors. Merely describing this dish does not do it justice, it truly hit every mark. For dessert, I had the best bread pudding I have ever had the privilege of enjoying and a plate of some really delightful beignets. Additionally, our server Kevin is the greatest at what he does and we could have not wanted anyone better. Overall, the service was phenomenal and the food was sensational. Was a quiet place, ok service. Prices were a little above normal, but the food had flavor, unlike most American restaurants.
