Bidrage med feedbackWent to La Cantina Mexican Grill Woodlands for a late lunch... Started with the House made Queso with Chorizo, which was excellent! House Frozen Margaritas were great also. We split the Botana Platter which was a phenomenal, delicious and a great value. The ultimate appetizer platter with fajita beef chicken combo nachos on housemade tortilla chips, beef chicken quesadillas, fried seasoned pork tamales bites topped with chile con queso, cilantro lime salsa and pico, and season chicken flautas... All served with pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole. This really was a perfect platter of goodness! The kid got chicken quesadillas kids meal. Service was great too! Glad we went, we haven't been since they moved to the Woodlands from Willowbrook.
This place is awesome. 40 taps, and tasty grub. They call themselves a 'scratch kitchen ', and they are whipping up some deliciousness in the kitchen. The fajita dishes are great, but their menu also offers some clever twists on typical Tex Mex and bar food dishes that will keep us coming back. They also pay attention to the details, from the sauces, to the awesome tortillas, to the rices and beans nothing comes off as an extraneous. We 've been here twice, and the waitstaff has been on point. Keep up the good work!
My wife and I came here on a whim when we were on that side of town. We definitely were glad to have done so! Jose was our waiter, and he was fantastic! The chips and salsa were great. They also had a small dipping cup of a sweet pineapple salsa which was wonderful! The red salsa had a good flavor with medium heat, and the green salsa was a puree type salsa that was good and hot. The beef fajitas were very good. They come with rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, and shredded cheese by default. It's nice to get all these sides with fajitas and not have to ask for them! The manager (I don't recall his name came by to ask us how it was and if we had any comments to help improve the restaurant. He mentioned the craft beers they have on tap, including beers from Karbach, Southern Star, and Deep Ellum. Even though it's a bit of a drive for us, we will definitely be back! The only less than positive comment I'd make is that it was quite cold and the a/c was blowing right on us. But, that will be a welcome relief in about a month.
Great food after a movie! The food was delicious. The beer selection was good. My wife has food allergies and they actually pulled out the cookbook to make sure the food was safe. We ended up getting the Pollo Loco which had chicken wrapped in bacon stuffed with cheese and a green pepper and corn tortillas and Mexican Rice. it was amazeballs! Our server Feebz was outstanding! Can't wait to come back!
Pay attention to the following review. I'm a Google reviewer and have over 250 reviews so far. As we walked in we were greeted by management staff and asked where we wanted to sit. We chose a booth. Where we set down I spoke with the manager for a moment as he was greeting me, very nice gentleman with a good beard. I ordered a sweet tea, my wife ordered water, and a milk for my son. It was a very great atmosphere period it looks really cool I liked a lot of the light fixtures and had a cozy feel. They make their own tortillas on the spot and I got to watch that happening which is very cool. They brought out chips and all the salsas within the five minutes that we had sat down. The red sauce is warm and has a good flavor the green sauce taste like a guacamole it was a little salty but good and had a good kick and the mango salsa was delicious as well. Lots of salsa options. My son had the children's cheese enchilada my wife had cheese enchiladas and I had combination fajitas, with queso. The beef fajita meat had a great marinated taste and the chicken was tasty as well. It was not dry it was very moist and delicious. There's a large bar area and several TVs around the restaurant. I enjoyed myself and my family had a good time. It is a little bit pricey but it is the Woodlands so I was expecting it.
