Cane Garden Country Club - The Villages

Had great experience at cane Garden yesterday started w a chix Quesadilla and wings . The wings kill me,seasoned to perfection is the best ! I highly recommend it ! That service was great. The waitress was friendly, attentive !I will definitely come back again

Tonight started well, the bartender was attentive very personable. She made you feel welcome. A very big positive for Cane Garden. Then disaster struck. We were seated promptly by the hostess for dinner. Then we were told by the waitress that the Turkey dinner special was out, but that was okay, we can live with that. We ordered our entrees I ordered the Turkey rice soup as an appetizer. People to our left seated after us received their appetizers then their meal. My wife called over the waitress asked her about my soup our order. she said it would be out. Then four people who set down minutes earlier next to us, their orders were taking, then within a very short period two of the people’s appetizers came out, you guessed it, their soup. In my 6 years in The Villages this was by far the worst dinning experience I have experienced.

First, I have to say that service was great. The waitress was friendly, attentive, and was always checking to see if we needed something else. Five stars. The food, however, is a different matter. I have not had food that bad since I was overseas in the military. Seriously, I've had better MREs. Awful. Simply awful. Sauces tasted like they were canned, chicken tasted like it was pressed, seafood was overcooked even the coleslaw tasted inexplicably bad. There is simply no way to recommend the food here.

Great for a cold frosty and Philly cheese steak was great after golf! So big I had to bring half home. Great bartender.
