Sandra Ann's Southern Comfort

Very Bad experience. The Gumbo was spoiled . The meat in it was mushy and it had No flavor. The cabbages we're not fresh they seemed days old. I'm not sure if what you all are doing there but it is not healthy for the public to eat here. I'm a chef so I know when food is not handled properly and or spoiled.

I was amazed and very pleased as I am always!! I ordered porkchops with green beans corn and white rice. My meat was seasoned to perfection and the sides were good too!! The corn is my fav!!! Lunch was too satisfying

Honestly the 3rd star was out of kindness. Disappointing for southern cooking. Found them by accident on Uber eats and tried it in effort to support neighborhood businesses even though in same parking lot as This is it soul food .The smothered meatballs were kind of different and although tender and moist they were not well seasoned. Nor was the unusual WHITE gravy they were smothered in which was tasteless other than flour and water but what made me stop after only 1 meatball is they were covered with OREGANO. Italy is not in the south lol. The creamy corn was ok but green beans tasted like from a can.My wife loves gumbo so thought she would like the chicken, sausage, blue crab and shrimp gumbo. All i can say is its the 1st time i ever saw her not eat all her gumbo.Just because we didnt find this satisfying for southern food doesnt mean you wont but $30. Plus a tip for what we got was big disappointment. Next time its This Is It where prices were actually same for much better. Never had meatballs smothered in cream gravy.

One of the best soul food spots I’ve had in Houston! The food is great and the customer service is even better. You won’t be disappointed with Sandra Ann’s! SO SOUTHERN AND COMFORTING!

Extremely disappointed first time trying Sandra ann 's. I first saw them on uber eats and the yams are what pulled me in. Saw similar pictures on the door dash page, so I decided to order. My yams had no marshmallows like the photos, which is misleading because that 's how I like them. The banana pudding was awful the wafers have been in that pudding too long! completely soggy weird texture. The banana pudding seemed watery (this parfait had no density), sad to say best part was the whip cream on the top. You should be assembling them to-order because that just tasted plain old and nasty. speaking of old and nasty that red velvet mollywhop or whatever tasted old and not like red velvet. Throw the whole dessert menu away; I don 't believe i spent $24 on this mess.
