Choong Man Chicken

Mixed emotions with this place. Korean place but Spanish people cooking and running the show? So confusing? Food flavor is good chicken wings are very big. Take out in a cardboard box not good the whole thing gets soggy and messy.They do have sodas.Parking lot sucks.

We were excited to try their fried chicken but waited until 11:10 a.m.; the doors were locked and the lights were off. Maybe the hours need to be updated as the door says they open at 11 a.m.

Oy, it 's a shame that they don 't set expectations appropriately. Don 't bother going here on a Wednesday afternoon if you can 't speak Spanish or want a to-go order in less than 30 minutes. I was making a long drive there to try out their fried chicken. I even expected a wait so I tried to place a to go order but, their phone connection was terrible and the only people taking orders were only Spanish speaking so I couldn 't get an order in. I spent a good 5 minutes trying to get an order in with a Spanish only speaker and was transferred to someone else who also only spoke Spanish, then was again transferred, this time to someone who spoke English but had a terrible phone connection. He said he 'd call me right back but it wasn 't right back . I was in the store by then and at that point was told that it 's a 20 minute wait from drums, 15 minutes for wings, and 10 minutes for tenders. I didn 't have the time so I wasted a good 40 minutes just to be able to warn others of this scenario so you can plan better. Looks like the food is good but managing expectations, quite poor. Seems like this place is an afterthought or just poorly managed, or both. A shame because the food looks good but seems to be on its way out according to the lowering reviews.

Honestly, I'm shocked to see how high ratings this CM Chicken location has. We loved the Chong Man Chicken locations in Virginia, but this location is pretty bad. The restaurant felt very old/dirty and the tables were very wobbly. Very stingy with radish they give you on a dine in order and wanted to charge extra.Chicken: We got half soy garlic and half spicy. The spicy was okay, but the soy garlic was overly salty and not flavorful. Despite our 20 30 minute wait to dine in, a lot of the chicken was luke warm and not fresh and not crispy. The soy garlic sauce just soaked into the batter.Calamari: We got soy garlic one of our favorites in their Virginia locations. They gave us soy garlic sauce on the side, which was very watery. Calamari was decent, but didn't seem fresh eitherFries: Standard fries, was the only thing that seemed to be somewhat fresh.Coleslaw: Worker forgot to give us Cole slaw we ordered and had to ask for it. Very large chunks of cabbage and a disgusting amount of mayo

Top 2 best korean fried chicken. I love the crisp from the chicken as well as the garlic soy and spicy garlic flavors. The drumsticks itself is a bit too much food as they are huge. Atmosphere could be liven up but I'm here for the chicken.Parking: Shared parking area
