Bidrage med feedbackI have ordered a variety of things from here before but I always get suya most of my the time when I visit here. One thing I can say is that the suya here is very consistent. This time around I can say that the meat can be cut a bit thinner. This will make it less chewy but overall this is the best suya in the DFW area.
Ordered for takeout- Jollof Rice- Just the way I like it. Some places tend to overcook it and add stew so I especially like coming here for that. Egusi- good but they could add a bit more of a portion and more meat. Like most west african restaurants, they are stingy with their meat. Fish and Plantains- Ok but I once got the fish like it had not been cleaned inside well. I would order this elsewhere. Not their best dish. Overall the food is packaged well and they are consistent with the service.
Another “African food shack,” and another waste of money down the drain!Lack of customer service: Order two plates of grill fish and while inquiring more on the plate/meal, I was met with the usual visual attitude syndrome which is synonymous to African place of business.Pricing inaccuracies: Google search and the online menu highlights one set prices, while on premise, the pricing is completely different.Ordering timing: I was informed of a 45 minutes wait before my order will be complete. 45 minutes turned into more than an hour.Thoughts on the food: The fish order lacked any seasoning or taste. I was not expecting habanero style peppering of the fish, which was not the case, but, the fish had a dry look without the taste of salt or anything tasteful to it! Hoping this was more of a one time occurrence and not the same all through out!
This really is one of my favorite Afro food places to go. Get the suya every time. Delicious!
Everything was a little too spicy and salty to my liking even with the sweet flavor of fufu but I am very glad to have experienced trying African food! The restaurant’s ambience and service were great.
