Julie's Sweets - The Colony

I was really excited when I saw there was a bakery in Grandscape. It?s kinda hidden. It?s really small inside. Can only fit a few people at a time. It was basically only cake slices a very small case of a few other things. I got a slice of confetticake a brownie for $12. The cake hardly had any flavor neither did the frosting. I was really disappointed, I couldn?tfinish the whole slice. I was told the brownie was good though. The two ladies inside were nice but ultimately I would not goback or recommend.

Best place in DFW to get a cake. The cakes are moist, and have balanced flavor. They're not too sweet and they have a nice selection of cake flavors available by the slice. My personal favorite is the lemon cake, but every single flavor isdelicious. The woman who owns this place is very nice and you leave every time feeling great! She is humble and appreciative ofher customers and recognizes her regulars. The shop itself is tiny, but they pack tall cakes and big flavors!

The owner is a very sweet lady. Unfortunately we did not enjoy the cakes. They were extremely dry and not enough flavor. The best cake was the strawberry as I believe the berries hold water and it was a also a bit sweeter. If I cld offer a suggestion,try experimenting with different brand flour instead of the cake flour by Swans is not great and maybe why they are so dense.The icing was on point so that was a plus. Very very disappointing! My husband placed an order for birthday cake on 7th to be picked up on 8th evening. I know he called in late and they obliged to make the cake ready for 8th. It was a simple lemon cake with no design since it was just a day before.But my DH asked for the cake to be moist. Simple, basic thing right??? But but? the cake was hard and dry with an ugly color(green. When he requested for sea green)!!! Anyways, nobody ate the cake except for the small piece that was cut for thebirthday celebration. I make better box cake than this! And I?m not exaggerating. We were charged $65+ for a horrible cake.Will NEVER order or recommend anybody to the place.

I was referred to the bakery and contacted them immediately. Brazil was very professional, patient in answering all questions via telephone. The next day I was in The Colony with the decision to visit Julie's Sweets Bakery. After arriving, it wasABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL Bakery with HEAVENLY COOKIES, CAKES, OMG you MUST experience in person! I was extended EXCELLENT customerservice with a smile, staff and business owner truly appreciate our patronage. MY 50th Birthday cake was SOO GORGEOUS, DELICIOUSand did not want to slice at all! Julie's Sweet Bakery THANK YOU for being a BLESSING on my special day! You definitely have afaithful customer!
