Captain Digby - Thanet

We had Sunday lunch and I can't fault it. I had the roast beef and it was a large portion, all hot and perfectly cooked. I had salted caramel baked cheesecake for dessert which was equally delicious. Prices were reasonable. The restaurant was very busy and the staff were excellent; we didn't have to wait too long for anything.

Fantastic quality and value for money, the portions are more than enough (and I eat a lot); plus the staff are friendly, efficient and attentive.

Went Sunday for dinner and drinks , was told abruptly with no empathy no room for dinner for a long while , no timescale was offered . Order drinks anyway, Beer £4.75 and Smirnoff Ice at £5.30 !! Member of staff pushed by me whilst drink and spilt my beer down me , partly apologized and then came bock with a bit of blue tissue . Wont rush back and will spend my money elsewhere

Steak and Chicken dinner with chips tomatoes and mushrooms So plate full of thin tatty cold chips overcooked mushroom and tiny vine tomatoes Couldn't believe how bad those meals were It has been mentioned this establishment has gone down hill and for us never never again

Great New Years Eve meal. Food delicious and great service. Lovely family atmosphere. Will be returning soon.
