Location. Location. Location. Let 's start with the good: The hotel (which felt like i was catapulted back to the 70s is situated in the heart of Graz. Perfect for getting to nearly everywhere in the city, which is easy as Graz is more of a village than a city if you ask me. It has its own garage (for an additional fee of course which is good for people driving there since it 's hard to find parking in the city. The breakfast (also for an additional fee! is mediocre. It does its job I guess but don 't expect variety on a daily basis. Same old, same old. You 've got your scrambled eggs, some cold cuts and spreads, cheese, cereal and fruit. Nothing to get too excited over but at least it 's food to get the day started. Now let 's get to the gist of it all, the rooms: as mentioned before, the hotel hasn 't done much renovating since the 70s. The rooms almost feel cold. You don 't enter thinking this is cozy , you enter thinking holy shit, this is old but not in a good way. The floors squeak, the TV is bulky and tiny, the interior sparse and the bathroom tiny with tiles that make you wanna do drugs! A mirror fell off its hook in the middle of the night, making me jump feeling like the place is haunted. Luckily, no ghost... none that i could tell anyway. So if you are looking to spend good bucks on location, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a place that 's gonna make you feel at home, don 't do it. It 's not worth the money!
Welcome to the hotel you 'll talk about for a long time. The room doors are portals to the past, since the rooms are clearly from the 60 's. Big empty rooms, no fridge, no minibar, old creaking and not so comfortable bed. Creepy bathroom reminiscent of old hospitals where disturbing experiences happened. Shower that consists of a bath with a shower head, and no curtains. Dirty walls. Inconsistent breakfast where the odds of having an almost empty buffet and dirty utensils are 2 to 1. Oh and the the wifi is an insult to 33.6k modems. Also, prepare to experience the passionate motivation of the cleaning lady, who is so eager to clean your room that she might just ignore your Do not disturb sign not once, not twice but up to three times. She will knock on your door between 8 and 9 AM and if, let 's say, you didn 't answer because you were sleeping for some reason, will unlock the room and enter until you scream that you 're in bed. Then, when you leave to visit Graz, she will gladly ignore your Do not disturb sign again and enter the room, move your things around and fold your clothes. She might be a ghost, because we never really saw her, and telling the front desk about it had no effect. I don 't think they believed us either. Well in turn, I don 't believe they should be a 3 star hotel.
