Benchmark American Brasserie

We celebrated Valentine's Day at this fabulous restaurant. The whole night was worth the 2 hours travel time. A very friendly staff, paired with the ambience, were the ingredients of an ingenious evening. The owner visited our table personally. We enjoyed his very appealing conversation to welcome us for our first visit. He invited us back to their Sunday brunch; last Sunday every month. Large single-customers attention and appreciation. The best Ribeye Steak I had in my life. My wife and I are trying steak houses in almost every city we visit. We travel for work and were in every state east of the Miss and many to the West. Even Mallory is not good in San Antonio. 10/10 for the meal. The cocktails are unique. Many thoughts and planning go into them. Our current trip was about 4k miles and that was the best meal by far. Maybe the best we ever had. And again Steak was the best I had in my life. A test on Texas cooking. The blond dessert should die. Absolutely amazing to finish the meal. I'm not sure if your ice cream is homemade or not, but it was very unique and not something I tasted before.

This place has a reputation to be expensive, I completely do not agree. The quality of food, the amazing service, the ambience, it is not much more than any other upper restaurant in Texarkana. I was here twice and had good food and good service every time. Very recommended. Very unique for a Texarkana market. I know that the boss and the manager specifically moved back to the area to do this. Very good people.

This is the place to go for a romantic date night, anniversary or a special occasion. The ambience, warmth, the professional waiting staff that was so attentive; Jennifer was great. The manager stopped at our table to welcome us; that was a very warm note. I had the salmon and my husband had a chicken dish; both excellent and we had the vegan chocolate brownie, with almond milk ice cream. It was delicious! My date here was a 5th. Is that possible? We will visit Benchmark regularly!

We just had an amazing 21st Anniversary dinner here! First off, the place is beautiful, clean and very spacious with just the right lighting for a romantic setting. We were greeted with smiles and directed to a table right when we walked in, followed by our waitress asking us what we wanted to drink. They have a very impressive menu of whiskeys, wines, mixed drinks and also many beers. We ordered 2 appetizers, bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with cheese and duck drizzled with house made ranch and also the lobster and shrimp dip which was a nice cheesy fluffy dip that you spread on crouton style crackers. Both were amazing! For our main course we went with their French dip and a mushroom Swiss burger. Both were very delicious. The quality of their food is 10 star in my opinion and head and shoulders above any other restaurant in Texarkana, very happy to have tried this gem!
