Brick Bat - Teutopolis

Great place to grab a meal on a Wednesday night. Steak was done perfectly and wasn't over season. Awesome wait staff that took care of everything we needed. Really enjoyed that we could sit and talk to each other in a very comfortable environment.

Great small town bar worth stopping by to check out! FOOD: A step up from normal deep-fried-everything and hockey-puck- hamburgers bar food but doesn't try to get too crazy. They stick to the basics and do them well. The burgers alone make a visit worthwhile. DRINKS: Limited draft beer selection but they have had one or two unique brews on tap (Moose Drool on tap last time I visited-haven't seen that on tap anywhere in a long time! . Anything in a bottle or can will be domestic and in the Bud/Miller families. Full service bar and they poor em stiff! AMBIENCE: Cool feel to the place with lots of exposed brick and the bar itself being a very cool antique looking motif. They have an internet juke box that the patrons keep playing all night long. KID FRIENDLY: Yes. Seen lots and lots of kids eating here with their families but this becomes more of a bar as the night goes on, so beware. OVERALL: Great bar with above average food.

Just returned from a family lunch at Brickbat. It's a new favorite. Nice beer garden, great Italian Beef, chomptacular buffalo wings and more. If looking for solid burger and fries, this is your place. Not a ton of circus, but great on the breads. Did I mention the beer garden? It's worth your time.

Amazing customer service. They only accept cash...fyi. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich, which was very flavorful, but had the distinct taste of fish? Not sure what that was about... But the ambiance is GREAT! Loved the quaint bar, with exposed brick and old light fixtures. I would go here again, to visit with some locals, and maybe try the signature brickbat burger!

The best kept secret in Effingham County! Menu is limited but the Italian Beef is first class! Burgers are above average, Chicken Nachos are top quality. Beer is always super cold, service is outstanding, and prices are very reasonable.
