Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant is a delightful place with a warm atmosphere and attentive staff. Emma, the chef, is incredibly talented. We enjoyed the perfectly cooked fish and she even gave us a tour of the 400-year-old pub, sharing the history with us. We will definitely be returning in the future as we loved our experience.
I had a great experience at the pub, which was very welcoming and friendly. Both Emma and Neil were extremely helpful, and the beer, food, and atmosphere were all excellent. I was impressed by Emma's ability to cook, serve, and still maintain a fantastic appearance. Both Neil and Emma are hardworking and skilled at their jobs. My steak was cooked perfectly, and my wife's fish and chips were top-notch.
The new owners of the pub have really spent time to bring a much needed facelift to the crook. they are friendly and it's really clean in there.
We had booked a big party and at the arrival we were told that our starters were ready and we had to sit - it was and we had not even ordered drinks. the starters were delicious and there were clean teller. I'm sorry, it was as good as it got. the wait between the starters and the main was about minutes for the first person and they came in dribs and drabs that we last and wait around mins overall. the food was cold for many of us and had to be sent back, even some of us had finished eating while others were waiting. the drink order was taken only once at the arrival and my partner, who ordered a coffee, said he had to wait for him, compared to the other drinks that were ordered. that was good, but the coffee never arrived. the netzen were sufficient to be a fairly expensive menu, but no sweet was brought out, there was a unique half papagei and half carrots on each roast. no gravitation was brought until the first few had received and had eaten their food. the personal had no idea what the roast was and just kept the plate waiting for someone to ask what meat it was before it claimed it was her. the puddings, especially the “chocolate brownie” was rocky and actually it was a sponge with a thick sauce that was fed up and a dust of hot chocolate powder. additionally two of the ordered brownies were different, and we were told that they had run out and had to get them instead. that would have been good, but the whole menu was pre-ordered for our table before over a week, so they knew how many were needed. not even someone came out and asked how the meal was. it took half an hour until we have our courses and pay for our meals until we had to wait so long. fortunately, we sat in a snow-covered street that passed the time, then tried to add a service fee and “forget” that we had paid each payment. will not come back, and unfortunately this was a birthday meal and it let us all be disappointed and unhappy and there was no excuse from the staff.
We were just for a Sunday roast and have made us feel very disappointed in the way we were treated. we were greeted by a beautiful waitress who took our order, but when our food arrived, my frying chicken roast pork. As...I have known for many years the difference between the two very much. I courteously informed the manager/owner about the mix up and was told that there was no gay on the menu? that concerns me, as I would have hoped that you would know the difference between the two. I was given bark as a substitute with which I was more than satisfied when the rest of the meal was delicious. shortly after I had informed the manager, a confrontational angry man approached our table, who had a bill from her metzger in my face. it was very clear to us that there was a mix with their delivery. which is not rare in gastronomy, as happened a few times at my workstation. after this change we felt at the ransom and uneasy to finish the rest of our meal. this was not better than we could clearly hear that this is shared with other customers and employees around us. we suggest that they send their photo to their local metzger who will confirm that the meat was actually pork!
