Bidrage med feedbackCelebrated a special occasion here and the food did not disappoint. Ordered beef cheek tapas (on special), Scallop with pesto tapas and Pork Belly Pizza. Everything was soo good! We will be back to try more of the menu
Had a wonderful evening! I’m a foodie so was absolutely impressed with all the dishes. We had a few shared dishes to start (was hard to pick as so many great choices) but all were amazing. We also shared two pizza’s (between 4 of us) which were perfect. Finished with a sticky date and ice cream for dessert (I’m not usually a dessert person but so glad I did) mouthwatering and lush. The cocktails are a must and good coffee too. Everything was excellent and I will definitely be back. The best restaurant in Terrigal.
TLDR: Delicious tasting food with no holiday surcharge. Anyone visiting terrigal should visit, especially over a long weekend should visit. Detail: I took my partner there on Easter Monday for dinner. They were quite busy being a public holiday but were able sit us with no wait and let us dine outdoors. They had pizza on the menu but we ordered 4x tapas dishes. Food: absolutely delicious 1. The fried chicken wings were really incredible. Came as 5 drummetts and wings. The batter is so light and fluffy and crispy, and the meat was very juicy. I eat a lot of fried wings and most places either have too dry or oily or too much batter. If you're a fried wing fan strongly recommend coming here for this alone. This place had the balance perfectly. Came with a delicious chili jam sauce that paired beautifully. 2. The banana prawns tasted really fresh and came with yummy garlic sauce. We got 8 prawns which is more than most tapas we've been to in past that offer only 6. I'm probably bias on this because I love prawns and garlic lemon butter is my favourite seafood sauce. 3. Lamb empanadas were surprise of the night. Came as 4. The lamb is really delicious fresh lamb pieces that were slow cooked or something. I was expecting not as fresh tasting like mince or something bit more processed. Was absolutely delighted with this choice. Strongly recommend as a very unique and delicious item and the pastry isn't too heavy or dry. 4. Chicken taco special. Came as 3. Grilled chicken on soft taco shell with some salad. Was tasty but a bit dry and not as much flavour as the other items we ordered. Drinks: delicious Ordered a special frangelico cocktail that was chocolately and Easter themed and my partner had a glass of mascato. The cocktail prices average $20 and have a very large variety of both classics and special to the restraunt. Mascato was $9 a glass which was a good price point. Cost: absolutely fantastic value. Firstly, no holiday surcharge! Didn't know quality places like that offer no holiday surcharge still existed. $18/plate for the tapas we ordered which is standard for tapas but what was surprising was the portions. As always cocktails are the peril to any savings but if not drinking could easily enjoy 3 tapas and water for under $60 on a public holiday. Service: great Mentioned seated straight away as walk ins. The staff were all polite, professional but also friendly and welcoming. Organised water and were prompt on bringing out drinks. Food was incredibly efficient with dishes coming out in succession a bit faster than every 5-10mins. So no awkward waits for food between dishes. Overall: this clearly is a well run establishment with good chefs and good front of house staff. Would return to try more seafood and pizza.
With no reservation on a Sunday night, we were greeted with a smile and a “no problem, we’ll fit you in”. The service was amazing! Quick yet enough time to enjoy the entrees before the main meal. The food was delicious! The owners were so friendly which made the evening so enjoyable. I’m recommending Four Hands to anyone who would like to spend a chilled evening with great food in a friendly atmosphere!
In a truly competitive market, amongst the restaurants, bars, and cafes of Terrigal, is Four Hands. I have, since it opened, been back countless times. As other restaurants have come and gone, Four Hands has remained; and there’s a reason… one that goes far beyond the latest decor, or fashionable trend in the eating experience… consistency. The Menu, the people, the atmosphere, the options… regardless of ‘who’ is offering you ‘what’, and ‘when’ that is (your first or fiftieth visit), the character of the food, that perfect blend of familiar and foreign, that meal that no matter how many times you’ve had it, leaving you content, draws you back again… it never changes, it never goes away. It’s truly rare that, given the disposable nature of our experiences, our expectations can be surprised by wanting to return to something ‘we’ve already had’… but that’s this place. If you think the above is all a bit much, and you just want to know about the food… just try the Pork Belly and those Chicken Wings, follow it with a Duck Pizza and a selection of cocktails, and you won’t regret it.
