Old Jody's - Temple

The food was heavenly. Great atmosphere, amazing wait staff. It was a full house when we went, yet the service was still perfect. I can't believe we've never been before. We will be back!

Old Jody is a solid burger and steak independently owned restaurant. Service was fine if a bit hurried. The menu has a nice mix of burgers, steaks, even seafood. I was not in a burger mood so I had popcorn shrimp which was fine if not spectacular. Isuspect that burgers and steaks might be more their focus. I reserve fives for truly spectacular and enjoyable places. If Ilived locally I would probably eat here periodically just for variety. If you were looking for something different than thestandard corporate owned restaurants give Old Jody's a try.

Great burger. children loved the chili Frito-Pie and the husband loved the chicken steak and mac n cheese. chocolate cake with ice cream was also delicious. the seat was fast, but there was a long wait for the meal, even after the lunch break on a weekday.

Great place for a family-friendly meal and cold beer. the highlight of the meal was her wobble rings and gizzards!

The first time at Jody?s, but I liked the art and wise how the outside looked, and the parking lot was full. it is one of the great types of restaurants of old that reminds me of my culinary experiences of my youth that they rarely find in these days. the food was great and the service was top notch. I was wolfing my burger and hand-cut friars while the vintage jukebox was playing away.?
