Church's Chicken - Temple

The fried chicken at this restaurant is always fabulous, with amazing flavor. My family's favorite is the large mashed potatoes, so we always end up ordering three servings. The employees are outstanding and always friendly. This is definitely our top choice among all the fried chicken places in Temple.

I took my Temple College granddaughter to lunch at this restaurant. The food and service were excellent, and we try to visit as often as we can. The cashier was very professional and took Brittany's order in less than 5 minutes. She quickly returned to Tjc. Brittany made a comment about wishing she had placed a double order because her older sister, Olivia, wanted some of her lunch. I had to remind her about the "grandma rule" - never ask for or touch the Church's Chicken Special of the day.

Popeye's, KFC, and other local restaurants could definitely take notes from this place! The food here is exceptional and you won't find a better value for the quality and portion sizes they offer. While the atmosphere may not be anything special, their delicious food speaks for itself.

I went to the drive thru and when I seemed to take my commissioner as if he didn't want to speak? After he asked what I wanted, I said the 8 piece, he said it was a wait that was good. When I went on to ask the items that come with the meal when said they were not available and said what you want to do. The employees here act as if they do not want to serve you. I will definitely not be back or recommend this place to everyone.

Nothing better than sharp? Chicken on a cool day. Try the 2-Piece Festival; leg, thigh combo w/1 side, biscuit, jalapeño drink. Food: 4/5
