Bidrage med feedbackThis place gets mad at her when they are the ones who have messed up their order. I go to the yucca taproom and asked where bao chow is. the bartender shantel o. says that is also the place. it is a divisible with friendly parasols. first I waited 45 minutes to find out that my ticket was never given to the cook. I wait another 15 minutes and they don't have the mac 'n cheese balls, so I'll wait 10 minutes to get the rest of my food. I have no problems with waiting times. the problem was that shantel told me when I checked her if the food order was correct what it wasn't. When the mac 'n come out finally, she opens the box to push them aggressively, because I knew I would check my order. shantel, I'm sorry that your life doesn't run as you want, but I never did something wrong as a customer. You even had 20% of drinking money before my food came out. if they are the owner, they don't deserve customers. if they are just a bartender, I'm sorry they have to act in such a wut and frustration when they didn't give the chef the ticket.
I wish that I could comment on the food. Unfortunately, even though we braved the $4.50 bao?which the bartender described as being ?two bites? small?we inevitably did not receive one. Because after waiting 15-20 minutes for a single tofu bao, we inquired with the bartender as to what the wait was. He told us that he had put in the order for a 20 top table before us and that it was ?going to take a while.? Had he informed us that he had done so before we ordered then we could have made a more informed decision. But we wasted our time waiting for a single bao with no ETA. Thankfully, despite the massive oversight, our bartender was very nice and voluntarily offered to refund us. Still, I won?t find myself here again. I can?t imagine that a bao the size of an amuse bouche is worth $4.50. Especially not in a dive bar in the corner of a dying strip mall. The owners should re-evaluate their clientele and remind themselves they aren?t in Los Angeles.
Good prices and great aromen. while the selection is small, there are still enough options that everyone, also the vegetarian, will be able to find something and it is all delicious. many beer options make it a beautiful place to sit and relax with a friend after work. will be definitiw back
We usually go to the Yucca taproom for drinks and go somewhere else to eat. So it was nice to see that they opened a kitchen that was connected right next door. Our bartender was very nice and told us we could take our drinks with us if we decided to eat over there. There was a gentleman that was sitting at the bar who seemed to be the manager. He didn't greet us or even make eye contact. It wasn't until I walked up to the bar that he informed me there was no bartender. I politely told him that I was there for the food. Then he repeated that there was no bartender. I asked if there was a cook. He said yes. And for the 3rd time said but there's no bartender. I then said I just wanted to look at a menu. He very rudely said to go back to the bar and order from the bartender in there. I asked for a menu and you could tell he was irritated and snapped that she had menus next door. We then went back finished our drinks and left. We will not go back there again if that's how management treats their customers. Its upsetting because we really liked the bar part of the place. So if you're there for drinks only I highly recommend it. But you're better off going somewhere else to eat.
You wouldn't think that this creepy bar would have good bao, but it's really pretty good!
