1840 - Telford

The food at this restaurant is delicious, beautifully prepared, and presented. The friendly and helpful staff made our experience even better. I definitely recommend this place.

The only criticism we have about this restaurant is that we were seated near the toilets, and every time someone went to the bathroom, a cold draft would hit us. Despite the presence of a screen, the cold air still managed to reach us, leaving us with cold legs, cold hands, and even icy car keys in our pockets. We brought this issue up with the manager on our way out, and they acknowledged the problem and are looking for solutions. It was probably the coldest night of the year, and the restaurant is located on a high deck. Despite the chilly experience, we still appreciated the quality of food and service, but we would recommend dressing warmly if you decide to dine here.

Our experience at 1840 was a bit of a mixed bag. The service was welcoming and the food was delicious, with good value for the money. However, the downside was the temperature. I was seated next to a large window and was chilly throughout the night. Other diners even had to resort to putting on their jackets. I would consider returning, but only when the weather is much warmer, so I can fully enjoy their tasty cuisine.

I made a booking that was confirmed. I was asked to confirm again the evening before I did. probably someone I work with, told me that the restaurant actually does not open. Nobody contacted me personally. if that hadn't happened, I wouldn't have been the wiser and grew up in a closed restaurant. that's not great at all. I do not trust the booking system again, so will not return to a place where I like to eat in the rule.

Arrived and was warmly greeted by the manager. Ambience is lovely, service was good food was well presented and delicious. Will definitely be returning. Big thanks to chef and her front of house team. Well done. ‍
