Bidrage med feedbackBeen dining here over ten years. We own a beach house in San Benito about 20 klicks up the beach. Come here for late lunch almost everyday when we are here. Never had a bad meal here, nothing fancy about this place. Cheap plastic chairs, tables etc. very friendly & accommodating staff. Once you order they bring you small plates of free appetizers. The ceviche is one of my favorites, mixed or octopus. Whole fried fish is great, at only about $5 bucks US. My wife's favorite Is the fresh fish in garlic. They close early at 6 pm to come early.
We had fried fish....no batter. The whole fish is just submersed in hot oil.Perfectly cooked....Service was okay....very reasonable prices....
My husband and I stopped at La Picuda yesterday while we were out for a drive. We chose this restaurant because of its colourful and clean appearance. We ordered beer and were served very quickly. The cold beer was accompanied by several plates of botanos, the local snacks, such as potato salad and guacamole. We ordered the coconut fish and it was lovely. The presentation was excellent: lots of fresh salad, some rice and a large slice of fried plantain. The portions were very large and, since we had the botanos, we took half the fish home for another meal. The waiter was pleasant and the service was prompt. We will certainly return.
Bad food, bad service. There are lots of great places in Telchac Puerto, hower la Picuda is "malo, malo".
Had lunch, all of us had a shrimp dish of some sort.Generous portions ,delicious and inexpensive.Service was good and our waiter was polite and courteous. The restaurant was clean and tidy and a very comfortable atmosphere.
