You won't believe the meal you get for €25 per person. We had a family celebration with my Uncle who comes from Sassano and this was one of the best meals we've ever had

If you happen to reach this rural town outside of Salerno, Italy, you MUST eat at New King Di Michele Pippa. Experience the best of local cuisine, local flavor and well . . .locals. The pizza is delicious, the seafood is fresh and prepared well. The eine is great and well-priced. We made the trip here because Sassano is where my grandmother was born. We were hungry, and when we tried the doors to this restaurant we thought it was closed, but it was just the rest time. We only had to wait an hour and that was well worth the wait.

Excellent food, good service but difficult to find the front door. Be persistent to look for sign(s) at front of the Restaurant in the circle under the limbs of the trees. We ate our main meal at lunchtime.

We were sent to this restaurant by locals while tracking our family roots in Sassano. The people in this town are amazing, although they don't speak much English. The food at this restaurant was amazing. Overall, we had fresh mozz for a starter, three fresh pasta entrees, a bottle of wine a large beer for 30 euro!! That however was followed by a gorgeous tray of bruschetta that they brought out for us. Great value great food. This place is found in the real Italy.
