Bidrage med feedbackWe took friends to Plowman’s for breakfast. The breakfast was more of a brunch type menu with additional entrees in addition to the breakfast items. I ordered Chicken Fried Chicken, with the two sides being fruit and deviled eggs. The entree came out with a great appearance however the chicken was uneatable having the texture of a hard piece of rubber. I must say that I’d never been served something with such texture. Another entree we had ordered was French toast which again looked great. Instead of the contents of the plastic syrup cup being syrup, it was balsamic vinegar salad dressing which was poured onto the French Toast. The meatloaf plate and biscuits and gravy plates were as ordered. The waitress too the chicken plate back, yet we were still charged for the plate on the bill. The French toast was remade and served with the syrup the second time. There checks were split, each being paid by card. When the waitress brought the checks back, each card was charged incorrectly for the others bill. At no point did any management address any of the issues we had during the visit. There are some things that certainly need to be addressed in the kitchen, waitstaff and management. We don’t plan on taking guest their in the future.
This was the third time we ate at Plowman and every time the food has gotten worse. Today even the scrambled eggs were so bad I couldn't figure out how a cook could even make and serve something this awful. We will not be back.
The atmosphere is fantastic!l, the old school conversion is super cool! It’s southern cooking and is delicious. They have all the staples with a twist and some unexpected options. The meatloaf and chicken fried steak are phenomenal. The seasonal veggies and okra are mouthwatering, and the pan fried biscuits are just like my mom makes (amazing). We joked about finding a house and moving to Taylor just to eat here! Or is it a joke…
Perfectly cooked filet! Salmon was ordered medium but came out well done. I was very hungry after an 8 hour road trip, so I decided to eat it instead of sending it back to the kitchen. Server was very polite but did let my water glass run dry.Great atmosphere.Ample parking.Safe for Celiac folks.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free available.
We absolutely love coming here and every time I forget to leave a review (probably because I’m so focused on eating). I think I’ve tried almost everything on the menu but I’d like to highlight their deserts. The banana split pie is a must! The service here is great too the vibe is always chill. Taylor is a small town and it’s rare to get a bad experience. As for entree I’d recommend the salmon croquette.
