Bidrage med feedbackWe were driving around the Dolomites in October 2019 when we stopped in Sanzeno hoping to grab a bite to eat. We found the Osteria Casa de Gentili but it did not appear to be open. My husband decided to walk past the gate and into the courtyard and discovered the entrance to the restaurant and saw there was one table of guests seated. We decided to take a chance and were thrilled that we did. The owner, Ivano, was cooking and waiting tables that day and, since there were only 2 tables of guests, we were able to speak with him about his restaurant. A lot of the items on the menu are very traditional for the area and many items were new to us. Every item we had was delicious. My husband had the potato gnocchi which he decreed to be excellent compared to others he's eaten. I opted for the local stew made with pork and veal and seasoned with salami. It was served with polenta. This was truly very good. For dessert I decided on a traditional panna cotta with raspberries...YUM! After eating we discussed the local cheese with Ivano and he showed us the ancient basement of the restaurant which he plans to use for his cheese in the future. We plan to return to the Dolomites soon and Sanzeno and this restaurant in particular are on our list of places to return to for a great meal.
Came to this place after reading some reviews. Great welcoming by the chef and the maitre. Food is of great quality, with simple ingredients and super preparation. Nice and warm the indoor seating, in a cozy atmosphere. Giuseppe, the waiter is very prepared about wine pairings , and very kind and helpful with the menu, Price are fair for the quality of food and wines. Very nice surprise
Great local food, paired with great wines. We stumbled on this gem while trying to find the famous rock walkway to the hermintage San Romedio. It has a wide courtyard with tables and we were lucky to be the first ones. The owner recommended dishes which wentook try the potato dumplings made from freshly grated raw potatoes with bacon crisped to perfection. Then try the tagliata, thinly sliced beef salted with beans. Actually here roasted potatoes would have been better in my opinion but anyway thats a matter of personal preference. And try the local white wine whoch is a grape found only in that region Nosiola.
Menù antichi sapori della valle di no. tutto delizioso, siamo stati molto soddisfatti dalla scelta. abbinato molto bene con i piatti proposti. cucinare molto gentile e disponibile. ci torneremo sicuramente
