Granduca - TAORMINA

We booked a table at this restaurant for our 47th Wedding Anniversary, and whilst it was not the best meal we had, the view was amazing. The staff were all over you from showing us to our table to leaving which made us feel uncomfortable. The restaurant had a lot of Americans in that night is the atmosphere was loud most of the night. The menu was varied and covered all tastes and the service was very good. The food arrived very hot and tasty.

Worst managerees you can meet in your life. We went 6 people and asked 2 tables to be connected and she refused very harshly Than we asked to be seated an empty corner table and she made a big problem about this. After argument she accepted us to move to this table. My wife was tried to smoke vape and she said it is forbidden and we excepted this. Her behaviour was always rude , she was angry that one of my friends used napkin on the table , which did not make sense . We started arguing after this and left the restaurant, I travel the world and never seen a management like this

Nice enough meal and setting but felt it lacked something not sure if it was the atmosphere or if we'd over expectated

The restaurant is located in the main street of taormina, in a 1400 palace from where you enjoy a beautiful view of the bay. the kitchen is good, the average prices.

Grand duke is an elegant restaurant in the heart of taormina with spectacular views of the bay, excellent cuisine and good choice of wines. The budget is not small but satisfactory
