The Coach House - Tandridge

The Christmas dinner at this restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly. I am very happy that I decided to dine there on Christmas. I highly recommend this place. Thank you for accommodating me and my family!

We arrived at the Inn on Sunday afternoon around Normal check in time at most hotels, to find it closed. We had made a reservation for two nights. We had just arrived from the US that morning and were exhausted and need of a...nap. I called the number that I found online. No answer, I left a message. minutes later a car drove in and a woman by the name of Tracy told us she was here to clean our room. She told us they had had a wedding on Saturday and hadn’t gotten round to making up the rooms. They also had a large breakfast party and the dining room has not yet been cleaned Tracy brought us inside. Cleared off a portion of the table for us to sit while she was cleaning the room. She returned minutes later and directed us to our room. The grounds were untidy, passing an old car battery, bucket and mop, Unused building materials. A complete mess We went into our room to find a bed with clean sheets and peeling wall paper on the walls. We were so tired we did not object. My husband went to sleep immediately, I was too cold to sleep, there was not sufficient heat. The bathroom is very dated and quite frankly disgusting. I tried to take a shower. There was no hot water. After two hours there. I woke my husband up and told him that we had to leave this horrible place. We did leave. Again no one on the premises. They own another establishment down the road. This was a horrible experience.

Thanks to John, Matt and the team for a wonderful meal. Ten people, three of them under six. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was brilliant. Made a family gathering all that more special. We will definitely all be back . Thank you...again.

The meal was amazing. The fish and chips were delicious and I highly recommend a visit. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming.

We were on a trek along the North Downs Way from Dorking to Canterbury and decided to stop at this restaurant for our first night. We were fortunate to have made a reservation here, as the rooms were comfortable and exactly what we needed. However, what truly sets this place apart is the warm welcome and hospitality shown by the staff. The establishment is family-run, with the owners, their son, daughter, and a talented chef all working together. While the pub is still evolving, the food (and beer) is of exceptional quality. You'd be hard-pressed to find better. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, even preparing a delicious packed lunch for us to take on our journey the next day.
