We all admired the cute bus setup outside that caught our attention. We were unsure if the restaurant was open as the sunlight bleached out the lights inside. I took a bold step and opened the door to ask the lady inside if they were open. She looked upset but nodded yes. A friendly young man assisted us at the counter. The food took about 20 minutes to arrive, but it looked delicious and the kids eagerly dug into their meals. My husband and I both ordered the Chimichanga, but were disappointed. It lacked enough steak and the slices were too small with little seasoning. While the presentation was good, the flavors did not blend well. The bathroom was unclean, even though it had been recently cleaned. The toilet seat was in need of replacement and both my daughter and I were disgusted to use it. Other customers also expressed their displeasure. The men's bathrooms likely need the same treatment. The bathroom doors were dirty and I tried to take pictures to show it, but the lighting was poor. Despite the negatives, I found the bathroom signs to be cute.
I was extremely disappointed with this restaurant. I feel like I wasted $30. I usually enjoy the food and service at the Clearwater and North locations. However, the staff at this location were very unaccommodating. We requested a different protein for our basic taco, but our request was denied. When we asked to dine in, we were told we could only order takeout (despite it being an hour before closing). Additionally, when we asked for a cup of water, it was also denied. Unfortunately, when we got home, we realized that our meal was prepared incorrectly, causing one of us to be unable to eat it due to allergies (they used real cheese instead of the vegan option).
The food was mediocre. It took a long time for the two female employees to take our orders, as there were two people in line before me. Unfortunately, my son's food was forgotten by the cook, resulting in a delay. The tacos I ordered had very little meat and toppings in oversized shells. The lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortably hot, with the ceiling even sweating. The drinks were warm as they were left outside the cooler. The employees were constantly running to the back and neglecting the front where customers were waiting. Despite the interesting exterior with a half of a school bus, the experience was disappointing. The flavors were just okay and not worth the $50 we spent. Additionally, my husband had to pick pieces of paper off his chimichanga due to cheese sauce and hot sauce issues. Overall, we would suggest improving the quality of food and service before considering a return visit.
Got there 40 minutes before they close and they spoke to us like we were stupid when we asked questions about the menu. They shooed customers away even though they were open. They literally collected GARBAGE and cleaned before making our order. This place is disgusting and the staff is equally as so. I should have listened when people warned me about Taco Bus being nasty.
I walk-in here at 9:00pm on a Tuesday after 5 minutes of waiting a greasy lady comes out from the back and she keeps yelling at me ?No Taco Tuesday? ?No Taco Tuesday?. Not a hello or anything, mind you I have been standing not saying a word. Then I ask is the regular menu work, she again repeats ?no taco Tuesday? ?no taco Tuesday?. I respectfully left and will go elsewhere.
