717 South Restaurant - Tampa

717 is a South Tampa classic for good reason. The food and service are wonderful, and the recently renovated interior is modern and comfortable. Great location, good parking.

Service and food was excellent, the last two times we left. The Macadamia Nuts Chicken is delicious!

It had been some time since we have visited pre-Covid! , though through no fault of 717’s. There are just a lot of options in S Tampa! I had asked for a quiet table, and they put us in a corner booth, which was perfect. Sydney ?sp was extremely personable and very knowledgeable on the menu. The drinks were outstanding and quick to the table. Appetizer and entrees were outstanding. I don’t think our plates even needed to be washed we cleaned them off so well! Over all it was a very nice experience. Miss having warm bread to start off, but the app worked out just fine. The pricing covers a broad range, some dishes being prohibitively expensive for diners looking for a moderately priced meal…but there is something at most price-points. The best thing is that the quality is off the hook! Don’t hesitate to make a reservation and enjoy the wonderful experience that 717 will provide.

We were showing directly to our table. Our waitress was attentive without hovering. The bisque was in need of a bit of seasoning however the fish and cornbread were excellent. Conversations were muted. It was an overall good experience.

Everything good! We sit at the back where it is quiet.
