Hong Kong City Bbq - Tamarac

Recommended by an acquaintance for the best authentic Chinese food in S Florida, we decided to make the trip to Tamarac to try the dimming sum. Expectations were low as we were pretty sure that nothing would beat the dimming sum in SF, but the food was actually decent. The braided chicken in glutinous rice wrapped in banana leaf was pretty good and stood out. The beet cake was also delicious. Also the pork belts came out, as well as the sesame seeds glutinous dough balls. The shrimp hai gow but was not so big... The Chinese broccoli was also fresh and tasty. Service was polite and fast, and the prices were fair. All in all, pretty good for S. Florida.... Next time we have to try the Beijing Duck.

Great food and good service. The authentic kitchen is so delicious and delicious. Fresh seafood and live lobster with ginger and scalions so delicious and fresh. My family loves this place. I had talked to some Asian clients there and they said their whole family and friends visited over 30 years. The Dim Sum is very good. The grill so delicious. The foods are standard.

WOW! Those of you giving the 5 STAR REVIEW are right! 30 years here in Florida and I finally found my new home. From the Service received from the entire Staff, especially from Ling, who was all over the place. The food presentation, taste, quality and abundance were great. As food was being served at other tables, you must ask..What is that?? I can't wait to return. This is the Best of the Best of Oriental Food in South Florida......

Amazing small spot with large traditional Dim Sum menu. Service was fast and friendly, even if I was a non-Asian patron. All foods were hot and fresh. The noodles impressed me most. None of the foods was excessively salty, but was excessively delicious. Only ordered in the Dim Sum menu, but they have offered a regular menu. Dim The sum dishes range from $4 to $12 depending on the product.
