Bidrage med feedbackOrdered pita bread, it was too dry and over cooked, meat was salty, dry and forgot to add extra spice what I was asking for.
I was hyped up to try Damak, having seen some positive (and some appalling) reviews online (on Facebook). Tripadvisor suggested it was the ‘best kebab in Tallinn’ and I was hoping to find something similar to the quality of Maroush in London, rather than a late night grub joint quality. The ‘beef’ kebab was more expensive than ‘chicken’ so I hoped it would be better quality and the photos listed (a long time ago, I would guess a PR stunt) with real meat kebab suggested it might be higher quality. In fact, it was sludge meat, the type of ultra processed fatty fake animal feed. Stuffed in a roll with iceberg lettuce and the cheapest nastiest sauces you’ve ever tasted. This is truly a stomach churning experience, and in retrospect I can see now that many of the positive reviews seem to be fake, by friends or family. Truth be told, I’m tempted to order a delivery again, just so I can post of photo and firmly save others from this (stay tuned).
My mate and I ordered a Vöner Lavash as well as Lavash Kebab and fries. Surprisingly, the fries were pretty good but both of our lavashes were quite blunt. I'd not recommend getting a lavash from here but fries were good. Perhaps other dishes here are better yet!
Inexpensive but fresh and delicious Turkish food. Love the cosiness of this place and the food is excellent. Do not hesitate to order a meal here and if you like hot sauce there's is one of the best in Tallinn
Very generous portion. Hardly get such a portion in Asia. Value for money for Budget conscious travellers. Delicious too. A good halal place to visit if you’re looking for halal food.
