If you like curry and are with the level of spices Fussy, try CoCoIiban. Beautiful variation of menu items with 10(? available heat quantities. I ordered a regular brewed chicken with regular heat and it hit the spot. Although ordered regularly, I wish I had gone small because the amount of rice was too much for me. There was a generous amount of curry that was a lot for rice. The menu has English to help you.

Great place for vegetarian food in Takamatsu, which seems to be quite difficult otherwise. Separate vegetarian menu with many different choices, and a curry with regular rice will be around ¥900. They are really delicious and fill, so a good price menu.

So I tried this to see what all the fuss was about, chicken good, rice good, curry... Well don't expect Indian style curry and you'll be OK. It was a nice meal and a break away from ramen and noodles
