Jasz Restaurant - Taiwala

The restaurant looks good from the street and offers fresh fish. That's where the good part ends. We went for a meal with drinks. It took 15 minutes to serve me a beer and another 15 minutes to serve my wife a fresh water melon juice (she went out shopping after 5 minutes of waiting and came back still to no drink !) After 1 hour we asked where was our food. 15 minutes later I asked for the drinks bill and told the waitress to cancel the food. A few minutes later the food arrived but the order was wrong. My son had fallen asleep so his meal wasn't touched and as my order was wrong - I didn't eat. What food there was can only be described as average. No apology. Total couldn't care less attitude from the staff and no manager / manageress or owner to complain to. The Owner / Manager is Ms. Rowena Bongcac and I would say to her that I see that I am not the only guest at your restaurant to complain about the service which is nothing less than shameful. More negative reviews than positive. As we arrived the only patrons were a group of 4 girls (already served only with drinks), a couple and a man and two ladies I believe visiting from Eastern Europe. Even they had complaints ! Whilst sitting waiting for our drinks and order several couples and a family of 8 came in and were served drinks and food before us. My advice - close down or get new management and staff. You are the worst place to eat in Alona !

This is one of those places that looks pretty good from the outside, but unfortunately don't live up to expectations. Their service was not! I was ignored more often than not and had to call someone over in order to get a drink, even though I'd ordered it 20 minutes earlier. The taste of the food was reasonable, although my squid was slightly undercooked. Unfortunately there was very little of it. I chose a "meal deal" that was supposed to come with an iced tea or soft drink. I asked for water instead abd when I got my bill they'd charged me for the water. I queried it and said if im going to pay for the water, then I'll have tge iced tea. No one bothered to come back and confirm if i needed to pay the extra, so after another 15 minutes of waiting, i left. Never to go back again

Terrible restaurant. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, this is supposed to be garlic bread. My partner ordered steamed oysters and got oysters in black bean sauce and when she questioned why they gave her that as it was not what she ordered they didn't understand what she was saying even though she is fluent in Tagalog. Awful cabaret act and no sign of the beach front dining experience from pictures uploaded. If you like paying for food you didn't order, like waiting ages and like the look of the "garlic bread", then this is the place for you. On the plus side didn't get the beer wrong.

We went out for a late dinner. We tried Jasz resto. The staff are accomodating, we had no problems. The food is delicious and cheap at that time, we had the shrimp with butter, grilled nocus. I love the food. I love the ambience.

Service is kinda slow. Food's pricey. And lastly, there's no tap water. Definitely Not my best experience in panglao.
