Bidrage med feedbackThe Filipino eatery called "Thai Restaurant" offers prices comparable to those in Ibiza. The Tom Yum Goong is essentially just a Sinigang dish with a Thai name, the calamari is tough, and the kangkong is undercooked and served on a wooden plate. The grilled fish and shellfish are significantly marked up in price compared to local market rates, and the dishes are prepared by inexperienced cooks. Diners would fare better eating at a local eatery, where they could pay only a quarter of the bill and enjoy a better meal overall.
The restaurant is situated in the most peaceful area of Alona Beach. It would be great if they offered a quieter dining experience with Thai or Filipino dishes grilled to perfection. The seafood looked and tasted fresh, and customers had the option to choose how they wanted it grilled. The staff were friendly and quick, though there may be some delays during peak season. Overall, the Filipino and Thai cuisine served here was delicious.
I typically try to avoid writing negative reviews, but after my experience at this restaurant, I feel compelled to share my thoughts. While it is not terrible, the dishes that were brought to our table left much to be desired. With so many other amazing restaurants in the area, there is little reason to dine here. The only positive aspect of this restaurant is its location. Despite the enticing BBQ on the beach, the prices are inflated for what you receive and the food lacks flavor. Even with black pepper added, the dishes were bland. Our noodles took a long time to arrive and had a similar lackluster taste. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant and trying a different dining option instead.
The tom jan kun was excellent, but the chicken curry “delirious” in expected for the real green curry wicy and thick, but its just like a broth with chicken and vegies added with cocos milk and papa of green curry. I have not restored this place...if they are looking for Thai food, hope they can do some changes in their curry style dishes
The pad Thai was missing it's flavour and the pork stir fry has the opposite where it was overpowered by Thai basil. The calamari was overcooked and rubbery. The location is lovely and food came out quickly but the staff were bored and started staring...at our table which was really off putting. The ingredients were fresh. Lovely for the sunset views but we went and got more food afterwards as we were left unsatisfied by the whole experience.
