Bidrage med feedbackGreat English bar in the middle of Taipei with a great range of beers and real pub atmosphere. Probably the closest thing you can find to a real English pub in Asia (and that's coming from someone who has been a regular drinker all over the region for the last 18 years! . Friendly staff and great handmade food just like what you would expect to find in the UK (handmade pasties, handmade sausage rolls and proper pies! as well as a great bar you can sit down and have decent conversations with real people who are welcoming to other Taipei based expats and people visiting from all over the world. One of the few pubs in the world where you can honestly say that you can hear yourself think. Great music that's not too loud and live Premier League at the weekend! If you're in Taipei, you definitely need to call in and have a nice quiet beer and don't forget to say hello to Queen Victoria, the bar's resident bulldog; she's super friendly and loves a tickle and a pat on the head :
An excellent real cozy British bar for football British rock in this island ! Great yummy foods . (we had wonderful ALE, panini , beef pastie and authentic English scones, everything was fantastic ! Nice and super friendly owners have made this place lovely ! My favourite spot in Taipei . PS : Love their awesome bully Queen Vic !
You can taste different types of beers here. The atmosphere is very comfortable..
Appalling service, waiters were very rude and unhelpful! Just when we thought it couldn 't get any worse the food came and words failed me... The panini was burnt and filling was just gross and weird, the 'pastie ' was beyond disgusting, it was the most unpleasant meal I 've had in my life. I couldn 't understand how they weren 't ashamed to serve food with such horrendous quality to their customers. I felt really sick afterwards, definitely avoid!!!
A beacon that is as comfortable as a pub in Britain with comfortable chairs, play, and it is actually quieter than a bar.
