Bidrage med feedbackDescribing the Chakra Café as a café is a bit deceptive. It is actually a small food outlet that caters to clients of Third Eye, a place that offers transcendental seminars, nail and spa services, as well as a selection of esoteric items and organic foods and supplements. The menu features healthy options, but the portions are small for the price and there are often items that are unavailable, limiting choices even further. During my visit, I tried the soup with tex mex quesadilla with beans. The salsa was bland, just chopped tomatoes and onions with no flavor, and the pumpkin soup was unimpressive. If you find yourself at Third Eye in need of a quick bite to eat, the Chakra Café will do, but it's not worth going out of your way for their food.
The cafe is located within The Third Eye, which appears to be a yoga studio and learning center for various arts such as crystal healing and tarot cards. It is a unique and interesting place. The cafe is situated on one side of the building. When we arrived for dinner, the lighting was very dim, making us think they were about to close. We ordered the truffle pasta and organic quinoa bowl with vegetables. As a vegan, I was excited to try the food, as good vegan options can be hard to find in the city. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming. The pasta was average at best, and the quinoa bowl lacked vegetables and flavor. Perhaps we simply chose the wrong dishes, but overall, we were disappointed with the experience.
