Superb Japanese Cooking, I love Jap food and this resto in one of the best! Will definitely come back.
Love the ambiance and the food! My new fave restaurant in Tagaytay!
I've been wanting to try this restaurant for so long. One of their branch is just a few minutes walk from our house. I finally got to try it for the first time yesterday for lunch. The place has that authentic Japanese vibes with the wooden interiors which is very calming and perfect ambiance for a peaceful dining experience. They also have a bar counter if you want to have a drink. Aozora Ramen is their signature dish which is inspired by the Tagaytay's favorite Bulalo. Whoever taught of this is genius. We all know most people go to Tagaytay for Bulalo and they managed to incorporate it to their menu. It is definitely a fusion of our local food and Japanese cuisine. This dish has a generous amount of tender beef on it. It can be good for sharing. I'm really not a salad person and I'm picky on it but their Aozora Salad is so good. It has mangoes and crab sticks. It is also saucy which I really like on salads. Among the foods that we tried, I think their Ebi Tempura will be my least favorite among all. It is not that bad, but it tastes ordinary to me. Aozora Fried Rice goes really well with Chicken Teriyaki. Both are for sharing but I think the most sulit when it comes to price is the Chicken Teriyaki and it also tastes good. It is not salty, just the right of saltiness, and the chicken is tender. Dragon Maki is by far my favorite among the dishes that we've tried. It is indeed one of the best maki I've tried. I love the texture of it, like it melts in your mouth? Haha! Can't find the right words! It has small raw salmon on the side, together with a wasabi, and it tasted like a flower? Haha! Kinda weird and new to me but interesting! The maki itself indeed looks like a dragon with the shrimp as decor. Authentic Japanese restaurants are really pricey so I think I understand the prices. Most of their foods are really good anyway. The staff are all friendly and accommodating too! If ever you'll go to Tagaytay, Aozora Japanese Restaurant is perfect for dates, family dining, special events and even just on ordinary days. I highly recommend that you try their Dragon Maki and Aozora Ramen. They have three other branches all over Tagaytay. And yep, you'll only get to try Aozora here in Tagaytay. Hehe!
Aozara is probably my favorite japanese restaurant in tagaytay area. It is my first time to dine at this branch, we often visit their other branch. The service was good and the food was exceptional. The food was served 10-15 mins after we made our order which is quite fast. We ordered karaage, california maki, dragon maki, gyoza, tonkatsu and aozora ramen. Aozora ramen is our favorite, it is inspired by the famous tagyatay's bulalo. It is also the main reason why we frequently visit their other branch. California maki was also good, I suggest ordering this instead of the dragon maki since it was a bit oily. Definitely coming back for another aozora ramen.
