Bidrage med feedbackThe baked goods at this restaurant are a delightful treat, with a variety of vegetarian options and even some vegan choices like veggie paté.
Small bakery with limited offerings of baked goods/sandwiches. French bread and pastries were good. Small cooler with drinks. Go early for best selection---picked over fast.
This cozy cafe is dedicated to using organic ingredients and eco-friendly practices to create delicious and fresh food. The bread, cookies, and desserts are outstanding, and the sandwiches, salads, and coffee are excellent. It's the perfect spot to grab sandwiches, bread, cheese, and more for a hike or picnic. The cafe is open early and closes late, and the staff is wonderful and also caters to the community.
This stop was meant to be charming and enjoyable, but unfortunately, our experience was soured by a rude and unpleasant front-counter person who made us feel unwelcome. Despite not speaking French myself, my friend understood the offensive comments directed towards us. The service-person rolled her eyes, made mocking noises, and exhibited a disrespectful attitude towards us, seemingly just because we ordered in English. This unpleasant encounter was a stark contrast to the warm reception we had received elsewhere in Quebec during our 10-day trip. As respectful and kind travelers, we did not deserve to be treated in such a manner. Due to this experience, we have no plans to return to this restaurant. I hope the owner addresses this behavior with their staff and ensures that all travelers are treated with respect.
We went in this bakery twice for (sweet) breakfast and it was very good. The "pain aux bleuets" is great. "Only" 4 over 5 as it is perhaps a bit expensive.
