Southern Kitchen - Tacoma

While visiting with my family from Atlanta, we reserved a table at this restaurant. We were greeted with a smile and the staff, cooks, and waitress (Kalimah) were all amazing! Kalimah was very helpful with order options and had a beautiful and pleasant demeanor. The atmosphere in the small and quaint building was great, and the food was cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. The food was definitely worth the cost, and the mango lemonade was delicious. My family ordered a variety of dishes from the menu and everything was delicious. Make sure to come hungry and ready to enjoy a fantastic meal!

The staff at this restaurant is amazing, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the music is soulful! Best of all, the food is made with love. I highly recommend trying it out for yourself - I give it a perfect 10 out of 10. I will definitely be returning when I come back to Seattle, WA. I suggest trying the yams and mac n' cheese.

Fantastic Chicken Waffles some of the best I’ve had. Super friendly staff shoutout to Ben who took great care of us. Owner herself checked in to make sure the food was top notch. Can’t believe I’d never been there definitely will be back (next time going for the Brisket and Red Beans Rice!
