The Poached Pear - t Pleasant Beach

First time dining at Poached Pear Bistro, will not be my last. Found the service to be excellent by Kelly , the Food not only was great you could taste many different flavors. Also was presented as a work of Art. The Corvina Fish Special with Risotto Reggiano was fantastic ! Overall experience was excellent , one of the best meals at the Jersey Shore

The staff was friendly and we were seated earlier due to a cancellation. It is more expensive than some of our other favorite spots but we wanted to try for first time. Food was good but for the price we expected much more flavor. We did try an appetizer, salad, different entrees and a dessert. Thus cost $220 with tip. Would have expected closer to $150, but it is Point Pleasant and a lot of tourists. Definitely a more well to do clientele. We probably wouldn't return l, not because it was bad but because the quality vs cost doesn't justify it. Rated 4 stars for that reason.

We have eaten in the Poached Pear Bistro several times. We were brought here by friends and have returned with them and others to enjoy meals far above the ordinary. Chef Giordano creates a most exciting culinary experience every night. We enjoyed the pear salad, the octopus salad, and ravioli as appetizers, braised lamb shanks. pan seared Diver Scallops and duck breast and Fois Gras as mains and Key Lime pie, gelato and espresso for desserts and, with good friend, this evening was spectacular. And, btw, byob makes it al the better. Thank you Chef and your amazing wait staff.

Another great dinner at The Poached Pear: Always great! Never disappointed! Had a nice birthday dinner at The Poached Pear last week and would highly recommend having a special meal there. The Beef Short Rib Carpaccio was amazing. My wife had Halibut and I had the Corvina Special; both were fantastic. Bring a nice bottle of wine (BYOB) and enjoy a reasonably priced great meal. You won't be disappointed!

Our dining experience at The Poached Pear was fantastic. Out server , Nick, was welcoming, knowledgeable, and took the time to make certain that our orders were prepared as per our requests. The food was truly delicious and presented beautifully. The tables were spaced nicely apart and it was quiet. There were many specials n addition to a wonderful and varied menu. We will definitely visit again!
